This is my 2013 show pig, Jwow.
Practicing showing my first hog making sure he is walking in a straight line and staying in front of me.
Me after I got paid the first time this summer
This is my pig and I at fair and we placed a great second place in our weight class. Also I sold this pig for $3.75 per pound.
Practicing walking by my side for fair all the way around the pen three times.
Through my years in the FFA I have learned many different things. Not only with my SAE but with leadership conferences too. With my SAE I have learned how to manage my money and work efficiently and use my time wisely. With leadership conferences I have learned to not be a follower and lead to the best of my ability. I classify FFA as part of my life that will stick with me forever. This picture is of my brother and I, we were together in FFA for a strong three years. Always having my brother there for me was an advantage, if I needed help he would help me and if he needed help I would return the favor. My brother and I have had our ups and downs like every other brother and sister but we are pretty close after the fact. I would not trade my brother or the years I have had in the FFA for anything.
Smiling at the camera bracing my lamb and making sure he and I are looking good.
By having communication skills, the ability to communicate is essential in sustaining longevity and profitability of a livestock operation, and knowing how to balance feed rations, by determining feed requirements for each sow/hog I can mix the feed according to their needs, regulating amounts and protein needs, to eliminate excessive feed costs, led to me getting Reserve Grand Champion at my local county fair.
Me mowing one of my customers lawns.
Here I am bottle feeding a young calf. For some reason the cow did not want to take it right away so we had to bottle feed it.
Shearing my second lamb with my first lamb waiting for her turn and keeping the other one calm.
In the show ring with my second hog chosen to stay for further judging.
